Those days are still so vivid in my memory.” This is how the text explaining the origins of El Patio de Lucía begins, which we happened to discover when we asked about the meaning behind its name. They read it to us at the restaurant, although you can also find it on their website. It is a story about memories, childhood, moments shared in the family patio and those little things that, over time, acquire a special meaning. A story that is well worth knowing and that gives the restaurant a distinctive personality. The setting fits this philosophy perfectly. It is spacious, completely renovated and tastefully decorated, but it is undoubtedly the large patio-terrace that gives the restaurant its special touch, making it one of its most attractive features. It is a lovely space in which to enjoy a meal in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The culinary concept follows the philosophy of the group’s other restaurants, such as Casa Dorita, Casa Petra, Fleming and El Escocés, while also introducing new dishes that broaden and refresh the offering. The ingredients are of first-rate quality, and we really enjoyed the food, with carefully prepared and genuinely flavourful dishes. It is difficult to recommend just a few dishes because we enjoyed everything, but I would definitely suggest trying the pork pluma and the pluma milanesa, particularly crispy and flavourful. They also offer roast chicken to take away, further extending an already varied offering that seems to have a few more surprises in store.
