La Fonda Pirenaicas

La Fonda Pirenaica, en pleno centro de Gràcia, ofrece una cocina tradicional de los Pirineos, con especial protagonismo de los guisos y los platos de cuchara, elaborados con productos frescos y de temporada. El local es pequeño, con un ambiente rústico y acogedor, por lo que recomiendo reservar con antelación. Desde nuestra llegada, el trato del personal fue muy bueno, cercano y atento. Éramos solo dos personas y, aun así, nos ofrecieron cambiar a una mesa más grande, un detalle que agradecimos y que demuestra la buena disposición del equipo. Probamos los macarrones, una de las especialidades de la casa, y realmente hacen honor a su fama: un plato sencillo, pero muy bien elaborado y con ese carácter casero que define la cocina del restaurante. Como platos principales, y haciendo honor a su especialidad en guisos, escogimos las albóndigas y el rabo de toro, dos platos contundentes y sabrosos, de marcado carácter tradicional. Una buena opción para disfrutar de cocina de montaña y sabores tradicionales en pleno centro de Gràcia, en un ambiente agradable y con un servicio atento y cercano.

La Fonda Pirenaica, in the heart of Gràcia, offers traditional Pyrenean cuisine, with stews and hearty spoon dishes taking centre stage, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is small, with a rustic and cosy atmosphere, so I would definitely recommend booking in advance. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very friendly, attentive and welcoming. There were only two of us, yet they offered to move us to a larger table, a gesture we really appreciated and one that reflects the team’s willingness to make their guests feel comfortable. We tried the macaroni, one of the restaurant’s specialities, and it certainly lives up to its reputation: a simple dish, but very well prepared, with the homemade character that defines the restaurant’s cooking. For our main courses, and in keeping with their speciality in stews, we chose the meatballs and oxtail, two hearty and flavoursome dishes with a strong traditional character. A good choice for enjoying mountain cuisine and traditional flavours in the heart of Gràcia, in a pleasant atmosphere with friendly and attentive service.
